Mental Wellbeing

At Live Well North East, we take a person-centred, holistic approach to supporting positive mental wellbeing, with a belief that creating lasting impact is a ‘whole system’ effort. For us, this means that individuals, and their needs, are central to our work, but it is important to recognise that around each individual, there are families, children, parents, carers, schools, other activity providers, statutory services. Improving knowledge and supporting the improved mental wellbeing of whole communities, rather than just one demographic, creates a greater impact and ultimately, a more significant, lasting impact for each individual.

Our services and activities engage children, young people, adults and families in a variety of ways, based around the five ways to wellbeing (be active, be connected, be inspired – keep learning), be kind – give, be mindful), evidence based ways to promote positive mental wellbeing.

We deliver a range of mental wellbeing services in the community at The Live Well Centre; in community venues across County Durham; in Youth Provisions and other community groups and charities throughout County Durham; in businesses across County Durham; and in schools.
